He says he likes
confident girls
I cower modestly
in reply,
pull my hair in
front of my eyes
I am no better, I
think to myself
I like them strong
and silent but am
drawn to handsome
and will settle
for weak

Sweet, honest. Touching. Tks for sharing your words.
Oh, it is my pleasure I assure you 🙂
Outrageous
; )
Except when I feel through it. Familiar.
Thank you for reading & commenting! 🙂
Enjoyed it 🙂
Thanks!!!
very nice 🙂
Ouch! That hurt for a number of reasons. One, that there was a time, I could have written that. Two, you are an amazing young woman and I hope you never settle for less.
Settling leads to a downward spiral and the further down we go, the longer the route back and it is uphill!
I won’t settle–I’ll just write poems about it. I fantasize about all sorts of things in poems, as you know 🙂
Thank you dear!
That was an emotional poem. Nice!!
Hey! Winijose! Thank you!
