Days off
these days
are for
chores and
reflection and
gathering crystals
in my palms and
toes and
begging them
to take away
the angst

Pretty Awesome! It reminds us to take time for ourselves even if its only for a brief moment.

“My head feels full of nothing”–This could be a good thing or a not so good thing ๐
Go get some rocks! Love you!
Perhaps a ritual cleansing? A chance to purify before returning to the flames. ๐
Like moths, some of us are drawn to the flame, the light and/or the heat. Well said!

Would you still be the poet without the angst? Are you sure you want to lose that? I sometimes wonder what life would look like without some measure of angst. Am I really satisfied with my message, as answering machines are fond of asking? But yes, the form and fixity of a crystal does seem to speak of the beauty of an absolute, the peace of being just what you are. Thanks for being you, and again for sharing.
Thank you David. And as I like to say “I’d rather be full of emotion than void of it”. But I could do without the sound of honking cars and police sirens which seem to be nagging “nah nah nah nah nah!”
